The Center for Snow & Avalanche Studies (CSAS) is an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to continue the Colorado dust-on-snow (CODOS) Project another three years. Our Senator Beck Study Basin (SBB) (www.snowstudies.org) serves the mountain science community and regional resource managers by hosting and conducting interdisciplinary research and sustaining integrative 24/7/365 monitoring of weather, snowpack, radiation, soils, plant community and hydrologic signals of regional climate trends. SBB is also the home of the Colorado Dust-on-Snow Project (www.codos.org/#codos) which forecasts, on behalf of the water management community, dust-on-snow conditions and associated impacts on Colorado snowmelt runoff behavior throughout the entire State.
